Skriven av Matilda JohanssonThe charity of the month goes through Melvin and Elijas, who on Sunday swam over 6,000 meters together to raise money, to Swim of Hope and the Children's Cancer Foundation.
Elijas, who is 13, and Melvin, who is 10, have both been swimming since baby swim. Last Sunday, they raised money by swimming over 3000 meters each for a full hour at Järfälla Swimming Society.
Every year, 300 children are affected by cancer in Sweden, and child cancer is the most common cause of death for children between 1 and 14 years. Thanks to successful research, 80 percent of the children who are affected today survive, and we at Rebel and Bird want to contribute to eradicating cancer by donating this month's charity to Järfälla Simsällskap and Swim of Hope.
