Rebel and Bird support girls who wants to program.

Rebel and Bird is a proud sponsor of Pink Programming, which takes place in our Group's B3 Consulting Group premises on November 18. Our project manager Ebba Zimmerman will be present and participate in the panel discussion of the event.

Pink Programming is a nonprofit association that holds 25 programming meetings each year for girls of all ages with mixed experiences. It applies to everything from those who go to high school to those who have years of work experience and everything in between. Pink Programming was founded in 2015 with the aim of organising camps and meetings where women can learn to program in an inspiring and demanding environment. On November 18, the meet up will be arranged at B3 Consulting Group.

It feels great to be part of the panel during Pink Programming, says Ebba Zimmerman.

I appreciate initiatives like these since programming is still a male-dominated industry. Being able to join and inspire younger girls to learn how to program and make a career in the IT industry is cool, especially as I am very new in that industry.

Ebba Zimmerman is the project manager in Rebel and Bird's trainee program Rebel & Academy. Before Rebel and Bird, Ebba studied the Digital Data Strategist program in Hyper Island, where she currently has an internship period. She has also worked with keyword optimization for several years. Ebba caught her eyes on programming as a teenager when she started coding blogs for her friends but then got the passion to run digital projects and have a horizontal role instead of just coding.
