Kolmården topp100

Kolmården’s website listed as the best website within tourism in Sweden 2020 by IDG

Rebel and Bird, together with Parks and Resorts are very proud of the news that Kolmården's website has won best tourism website in IDG's top100 list 2020.

Kolmården's website was listed as one of the 100 best websites in Sweden earlier this month, and the celebration continues! We can happily tell you that the website has taken first place as the best tourism website in Sweden 2020 by IDG.

– Thanks to our new digital solutions, we've managed to tackle many of the challenges that the corona pandemic has posed to our business. We have moved most of our sales to digital platforms and introduced appointments for both park entrances and animal guided tours. It has enabled safe guest flows and helped us avoid congestion while offering our guests equally good experiences. We can also see a change in behavior among the guests who have become better at pre-booking and planning their visit and canceled their booking if they have become ill. Proof that we have succeeded with our digital strategy is that over 70% have chosen digital annual cards over plastic cards for next year's season. We are very proud of our digital platforms' development, says Joanna Hammar, Marketing Director at Parks and Resorts, which owns Kolmårdens Djurpark.

IDG’S WORDS ABOUT KOLMÅRDEN’S WEBSITE

Parks and resorts have made a significant web investment in 2019, where the sites for Kolmården, Gröna Lund, Furuvik, and Skara Sommarland received refreshed designs and moved to a new system. Although much is similar between the pages, we believe that Kolmården stands out a little extra. It was also the first site to be launched.

In the site's header, you are greeted by adorable videos of the park's animals interspersed with sweeping drone flights and clips from the park's rides. An excellent and inspiring start that works just as well on the computer as on the mobile.

The design is clear and distinct with clickable cards, nice and uniform image material, and a smooth and straightforward purchase flow. During the corona pandemic, Kolmården was able to stay open and quickly introduced several new features with the site's help, such as the opportunity to order food on the web and see queue times at different restaurants to help avoid congestion.

During the Autumn, "My pages" rolled out for everyone who buys tickets online and for those with an annual card that gets an overview of bookings, times, parking registration, and much more.

We also want to give extra praise to Kolmården for the solid knowledge material that is available about all the animals in the park! Perfect for family and school class.
